Our Story

My journey in pharmacy began in Bangladesh, where I qualified and practised as a registered pharmacist. I started my career in Quality Assurance at Novartis Pharma, then transitioned into pharmaceutical marketing, gaining a solid understanding of both medicines and the systems behind them.

But I wanted to be more involved in patient care — to connect with people directly and play a hands-on role in their wellbeing.

That drive brought me to the UK, where I completed my pharmacy degree at Brighton University and registered as a UK pharmacist. I gained valuable experience working in both hospital and community pharmacies, learning what truly matters to patients.

Why I Started OnlineChemist

While working in community pharmacy, I noticed a recurring issue — patients needed more flexibility, quicker access, and wider service options. But working for others meant I couldn’t always meet those needs.

In May 2019, I founded OnlineChemist to change that — creating a service designed around patients, not systems. I was one of the first in the area to offer private ear syringing, responding to a clear local demand.

Evolving to Do More

To serve patients more fully, I completed my independent prescribing qualification, which allows me to diagnose and treat a wider range of conditions directly — quickly and safely.

Today, OnlineChemist provides NHS and private prescriptions, travel clinic services, earwax removal, weight management treatments, pet medications, and more — all delivered with clinical precision and genuine care.
